  Who Our client is a Romanian medical examinations and immunologic diagnosis laboratory, and the challenge was to create a platform which would offer a direct and efficient communication link with their customers.

  Why The need for such an application was given by the complexity and quantity of information which has to be managed on a day to day basis: the laboratory has thousants of clients, offers thousants of medical products, processes hundreds of orders each day, and utilizes a model of bonuses and discounts which varies with each order and must be continuously recalculated for each client.

  How The CBC solution that we implemented for our client was made of 3 simple steps:

  Who Our client, a US company in the health products industry, wanted to create an internal system where each of the 400+ company employees could efficiently access the information and the documents that they needed.

  Why The main reason was the need for organizing the information in a better way. The old system was made up of separate solutions which were not offering high stability and were not working together, and many situations appeared where information was duplicated or lost.

  How We used the DotNetNuke framework, and created an application which covers the following requirements:

  • the information is organized by departments
  • the information is configurable by selected users from each department
  • a system of user rights, which means that only certain users can modify information and only certain users can approve changes
  • a library (where you can upload, download or search documents)
  • charts
  • 2 calendars (a general calendar, and a department calendar)
  • an internal system where jobs can be posted, and employees can apply

  Who Our client, a US company who manages terrains and construction permits, asked for a system through which the users could create and visualize their own reports, without the need for a development team.

  Why The employees discovered that they often needed simple statistics which were not implemented, so they had to wait a while until the development team created the new report. Also, this always brought additional costs.

  How The biggest challenge was the fact that the users had no SQL or database knowledge, so we had to create a system which would not depend on this. We only assumed that they would be able to choose the entities / tables which were needed in the report (for example Client, Permit, etc.). The customizable reporting solution has been designed independently of the application for which it generates reports, which means it can be integrated with any business application which utilizes SQL Server.

  Who Our client, a US company who provides high quality orchid species and hybrids, needed a dynamic pricing catalogue for their marketing campaigns.

  Why In their marketing efforts, many companies create and offer pricing catalogues to their clients. Our client was doing it periodically, and because they had a multitude of products and accesories this was quite a complicated task.

  How We created an application which retrieves the information from their online ecommerce system, and generates separate reports (each with its own rules) for every area of the catalogue. After that it combines all these reports into one pdf file, which is the final pricing catalogue. As a result, our client can now generate the updated pricing catalogue at any time in a matter of minutes, with a click of a button.
